Following more than two years of planning, fundraising, and partnering with local Olentangy officials, the hard work of the OOHS Turf Committee has secured a new turf field for Olentangy Orange High School.

The new synthetic turf surface will be ready for play in June, 2013 and will cost approximately $500,000. The project is being funded by several loans that will be repaid over the next several years. The Olentangy Orange Athletic Boosters, Pop Arts Music Boosters, private donors, and corporate contributions will provide the funding to retire this debt. The majority of the money will be raised by the six affected sports teams plus the marching band. Each of these groups has pledged significant monetary support to be paid over the next 5-8 years.

To complement our teams’ ongoing fundraising efforts and help repay the obligations as quickly as possible, we need your help. We have created several support levels to suit any budget. Each level includes a membership to the Orange Athletic Boosters as well as other rewards. All gifts can be designated to a favorite sport or group which will offset the annual pledge commitment that has already been made by each group.

The next OOAB Booster meeting will be held on Monday, May 13, 2013. The Board meeting will be held at 6:30 pm and the general meeting will be at 7:30 pm.

General Boosters meetings are typically held on the second Monday of each month (unless otherwise noted and are subject to change), at the OOHS commons, beginning at 7:30 pm. Read more about the Boosters here.
